Wrigley Field — Chicago, Illinois

Built in 1914, Wrigley is the second-oldest ballpark in Major League Baseball and the one that feels most like itself. The ivy on the outfield walls has been growing since 1937. The hand-turned scoreboard in center field has no electricity running to it. The neighborhood — Wrigleyville — wraps around the stadium like it grew there, because it did. Wrigley holds about 41,000 for baseball and has spent over a century earning the right to be called the Friendly Confines. In the summer of 2025 it became something else briefly: a comedy venue, when it hosted its first-ever stand-up show, a night that proved the park can hold a lot more than a ballgame. O'Hare is twenty minutes northwest. Midway is closer if the wind is right.
